What is the Ideal Relationship Between MCC and the Church?
This is the question we want answered by each of you and this is the question that you will hear from us about this month.
Don Peters, MCC Canada, will begin the dialogue on the Grapevine Blog with his own personal view on where this question takes him when he thinks about MCC and the church. Here’s a little snapshot:
“…The predominant conviction in any of the Wineskins events I’ve attended is that MCC, whatever its shape, must be closely connected to the ‘church’. MCC is not ‘para-church’. It springs out of the church. It performs part of the mission of the church. It contributes to the church’s work of reconciliation in the world. In this sense, MCC and the church are part of each other.”

Throughout the month of February, you will hear from Rolando Santiago, MCC US as well as Arli Klassen, MCC Binational as they take turns sharing their personal views on the Grapevine Blog. Further, we are continuing to upload new results (http://newwineskins.mcc.org/results) from meetings that are happening across Canada and the USA. Don’t miss checking out all the new video interviews of individuals sharing stories of ‘MCC at its best’ that have just been posted under the "Videos" section (http://newwineskins.mcc.org/videos).
I can’t stress this enough to each one of you. Take just a few minutes to visit the Web site http://newwineskins.mcc.org today, and then just a few more minutes to post a comment, ask a question or share a story.
This is your time. Help us shape MCC for the 21st Century.
